| I can't believe I have had the Tercedes for almost 3 years. It was only ever supposed to last the winter of 2006-2007. I hated it but it was cheap and it just refused to die. I was out today attacking the rear fender with an angle grinder and I realized the car is a total death trap and it's just not going to cut it anymore. I got 3 winters out of it but now it's time to move on. I have a soft spot for the Tercedes now and I can't bring myself to junk it. The body is fairly solid but the running gear is trash and there's absolutely no way it is going to pass inspection at the end of this month. I feel I owe it to this car to make it into a cheap DIY project car. It's not worth selling so I'm going to store it. My grandparent's old place in Goldboro has an empty garage so in October I'm going to leave it there. Nobody lives in the house so it's not going to be in anyone's way. I'm going to collect cheap / free parts for a few years and eventually pull it out and do a cheap DIY restoration and maybe a motor swap. Coils and a nice set of RS's are the only expensive parts, but will totally make the car. This is kind of what I'm aiming for: I've photoshopped that pic quite a bit but that car is pretty close to what I want to do. The front lip is off a 94 Volvo 960 and the rear valence is from a 94 Accord. Does anyone have a suggestion for skirts? I think the front and rear lips look so clean but those side skirts look like ass. Is there anything out there, maybe from a Honda that is clean and would work with those 2 lips? | |

| Turns out the registration and inspection expires at the end of this month so the Tercedes is leaving YTown at 5:30 tomorrow morning. Who knows when it'll be back... | |

Hahaha if you even considered this I'd break both of your arms / legs. Friends don't let friends drive sunfires. | |

| So I drove the Tercedes to her new retirement home today. 552km up and 552km home in one day. The car definitely needs to come home on a tow dolly. She is way too haggard to survive the return trip. Doing a reverse burnout: Tucked away: Battery disconnected, tires overinflated, fuel stabilizer in the tank.. Peace out Tercedes! | |

| Holy shit I miss this car... It was such a piece of shit it made it awesome. Doing e-brake slides on the dirt roads on a daily basis was just too much fun. I got tons of great parking spots too since I didn't have to get out of the car to move a cart out of the way. It stunk, leaked every fluid imaginable, was surprisingly bad on gas but there was just something about it. This car is coming back, I fucking swear. | |
