| is anyone on here into carpentry? i was looking at taking it when im done school. Im just worried about what it pays. It doesnt really seem like the best paying job. Anyone got some info? | |

| trades are probably one of the highest paying jobs out there there are a plenty of jobs where ever you go especially out west. | |

thats true if you like working. I know carpenters with their crews in the west makin piles of money...but they're puttin up 7 houses a week.... It all depends on how hard you wanna work. | |

| carpentry is a good trade especially if you want to do finish work like cabinets and stuff | |

| I'm going into MVR (Motor Vehicle Repair) and all I'm told when I tell people is that its a really good time to go into a trade they are in such high demand right now and they cant get enough trades people. | |

| its all part of the boom. Once the oil fields and sands and natural gas is all tapped into, this boom will disappear...Remember, this whole boom already took place in the 70's | |

| They need more trades people now then ever. Thats why my old man sponsors some of the NSCC programs in Carpentry and other trades. There is big demand for sure.Especially if you can get your papers. Being a foreman for a construction company can earn big bucks at some points. All depends on the economy too. We definitely notice here at the store when the economy is hurting. More extra cash people got, the more construction companies are going to be busy which equals higher wages. But allot of contractors have been saying there having a hell of a year this year.Which is good Saulnier's Home Hardware FTW !! | |
